STORMS 2010

Rainfall analysis software that enables you to:

• Manage your local rainfall statistical data;
• Generate and update short or long duration Intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) curves;
• Evaluate the return period of observed rainfall events;
• Create and manage design storms (Chicago, NRCS, AES and Huff);
• Compute rainfall statistic for any event (total rain, duration, average intensity, maximum intensities over 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes and 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours durations);
• Perform extreme value frequency analyses;
• Study trends in rainfall intensities;
• Prepare report-ready charts for Hyetographs and IDF curves as well as various report-ready tables.

STORMS 2010 includes an up-to-date database of more than 700 Atmospheric Environment Services (AES) stations containing complete short-duration maximum annual rainfall statistics and IDF data from Environment Canada. Data may be updated as necessary. The software works in English or French.
